After what seems like a long long winter, I spotted these in the local park this afternoon (after it snowed all morning, so perhaps spring has not yet sprung after all). I love the way the snow has been melted by the warm sunshine and looks like dew on the flowers.

Light is amazing isn’t it? Here are some trees in Maulden Wood, Bedfordshire on a cold but sunny afternoon in January: Turn 180 degrees and here are the same trees, but a totally different atmosphere: Taken with my dinky little Nikon Coolpix 2100.
